” How can I connect better with my superior?”
” How do I motivate my child to study and have better results?”
“Why can’t the two of them have a conversation and not get into a heated argument?”
These were some questions that I received in my recent consultations. As individuals, each of us have our own way of thinking, processing information, problem solving, communicating and handling others. Conflict can therefore arise when opinions differ on how these should be done.
When we make an effort to understand the perspectives of our family members, colleagues or other team members, learn to provide information or communicate in a way that they can understand and appreciate; better communication, relationship and team productivity will definitely follow creating a more harmonious and productive environment.
Wouldn’t it be nice if we can have a “manual” similar to that of an operating manual of a machine to understand what makes others “tick”, what their expectations are and how we can motivate our children or subordinate more. We can attempt to understand others better through the time-tested Asian Personality Profiling system – Bazi.
As mentioned in my previous articles, each Day Master and Bazi Profile, based on the 2000-year-old metaphysical study of Bazi, will have different characteristics, expectations and motivations.

The following are some examples of communication strategies for some of the profiles in their various roles. They are by no means exhaustive but serve as a guide for you. As you gain more understanding of the different profiles, I am sure you will develop the relevant strategies to communicate with them based on your own experience, the different profiles’ backgrounds and attitudes.
Communicating with your Friend or Sibling who is a Performer Profile.
Communicating with your Superior who is a Philosopher Profile.
Communicating with your Child who is an Artist Profile.
